When a regional eSIM pays off
Two countries or more, and the regional plan costs less than the country plans together: one install, one balance, nothing to switch at the border.
Separate plans win when one country takes most of the trip and the others a day or two, or when a country is outside every regional bundle.
Questions
Does the regional eSIM switch networks automatically at the border?
Yes. The eSIM picks a partner network in each country on its own; a restart of mobile data helps if it takes more than a minute.
Can I add a country after I bought the plan?
A country plan cannot grow into a regional one. If the route may change, buy the regional plan from the start; the price difference is usually small.
What if I stay longer than 30 days?
Plans run up to 30, 60, 90 or 180 days depending on the destination. The planner only shows plans that last your whole trip; for longer stays set the days and see what remains.
