How does a travel eSIM work?
An eSIM is a digital SIM you install on your phone. It connects to local networks at your destination, so you pay local data prices instead of roaming.
Does my phone support eSIM?
Most phones released after 2018 do: iPhone XR and newer, Google Pixel 3 and newer, recent Samsung Galaxy S and Z models. Dial *#06#: if you see an EID, your phone has an eSIM. It also has to be carrier-unlocked.
When should I install the eSIM — before or after the trip?
Before, while you have Wi-Fi at home. Then just switch the eSIM line on when you arrive.
When does my plan start?
For most plans the days start when the eSIM first connects to a network at your destination, not at purchase. The exact rule is shown on every plan.
Can I keep my normal SIM and my number?
Yes. Your main SIM stays in the phone for calls and SMS, while BeeSim handles mobile data. WhatsApp and iMessage keep your number.
Does the eSIM include calls and SMS?
No, plans are data-only. Messengers and internet calls (WhatsApp, Telegram, FaceTime) work over the data connection.
Can I use hotspot?
Yes, personal hotspot works on BeeSim plans, subject to the plan’s fair-use policy.
Can I buy another package?
Yes. Some plans can be topped up — the plan page says which — and then the data goes onto the eSIM you already installed. A plan without top-up is not extended: you buy the next plan and install it as a second eSIM, which takes the same minute as the first.
What if the eSIM doesn’t connect?
Check that the eSIM line is on and data roaming is enabled for it. If it still does not connect, contact support — we will help.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, if the eSIM has not been installed yet. Once installed or used, refunds are only possible for technical issues. See the refund policy for details.
Which payment methods are accepted?
Apple Pay, Google Pay and bank cards.
Do I need an account?
No. You can buy without signing up — the eSIM opens from the link on the order page, and the browser remembers your purchases.
