Yes. Your own SIM or eSIM stays active for calls and SMS; the travel eSIM carries data only. You choose which line is used for data in settings.
How many eSIMs can be installed on Xperia 5 (IV, V) at the same time?
Several profiles can be stored; how many can be active at once depends on the model (one on most, two on recent flagships). Switching takes a tap in the SIM manager.
Can I move the eSIM from Xperia 5 (IV, V) to another phone?
